Hello Allan,
Since sndfile does not allow to record sound, this module would be expected into the Data
handling category, instead of the Data Acquisition one. Like the Matrix Market module,
that also deals with input/output data.

unfortunately, sndfile is not delivered for Scilab 5.4.0 Win 32 bits.

More precisely, it is not visible and cannot be installed through the ATOMS's GUI.

This package need to be updated (api_scilab) and update external library before a new 
package for Scilab 5.4
