gf_elements

Elements of a finite field as Scilab polynomials

Syntax

e = gf_elements(F)

Arguments

F

A field created by gf_create_field.

e

Column vector of p^n Scilab polynomials in x.

Description

gf_elements(F) returns every element of F as a polynomial in x, in the order of the element table F(4):

Use F(4) directly to get the same elements as coefficient rows, which is the form the arithmetic functions accept.

Examples

// GF(4): 0, 1, alpha, alpha^2 = 1 + alpha
gf_elements(gf_create_field(2, 2))

// GF(3): 0, 1, 2
gf_elements(gf_create_field(3, 1))
